Moab Pride is a youth-focused organization, with year round programming catering to youth and families. We recognize the need for family-friendly, inclusive events in Moab. We offer weekly Rainbow Clubs for Grand County Middle and High School students every week and quarterly all ages dance parties to encourage free expression and radical acceptance.
In collaboration with BEACON, Moab Pride hosts weekly after school clubs every Thursday from 3 to 5pm at the Moab Arts and Recreation Center (MARC) located at 111 E 100 N. This after school club began in the fall of 2017 after Pride realized an immense community need for tangible support of queer, trans, and gender non-conforming youth in our community. Activities include art projects, impromptu talent shows, field trips, baking, and more! Contact us if you're interested in hosting a workshop with students related to art, music, dance, writing, poetry, cooking, or any of skills you're willing to share.
All Ages Dance Parties
Moab Pride aims to host all ages dance party roughly every quarter (every three months). We enjoy opening up a space for youth, families, and Moabites of all ages to freely express themselves and feel comfortable with their own identities. We typically offer an open mic space and end the night with lots of dancing! Our first all ages dance party, Rainy Daze, was hosted in the spring of 2018. Our most recent event, the Summer Skies All Ages Back to School Dance Party, was hosted on August 10th, 2018 (pictured left, credit to Moab Sun News).
